Denise Jennings Competition

Open to all ages and levels of ability that range from Beginner to Professional. First Place winners will be invited to perform in the Honors Recital to be held after Flute Fest.

Denise Jennings (1977 - 2000)

Born in Los Alamitos, CA, Denise Aileen Jennings was an active teacher and performer in the Houston area. Much in demand as a private instructor and clinician, Denise’s work was greatly reflected by the success of her many students. She was a member of the Houston Flute Club for several years and was a Junior Faculty member of Floot Fire. Denise received her BM in Music Education posthumously from the University of Houston, where she was a student of Dr Kimberly Clark.
